Four ways to bale on less horsepower

  1. Make bigger windrows and slow down. This one is counterintuitive but it's the number-one tip. It takes a set amount of power to keep the chamber full; if you can hit that at a lower ground speed, you free up engine power for the hill. As Gearclash explains: "if you have hilly ground you are better off with larger windrows (lower ground speed) than smaller windrows (higher ground speed).
